Hotel, Udaipur

Our hotel in Udaipur is 250 years old and our room has 250 year old paintings on the wall.  $7 a night.  This elephant-headed tiger got my attention before the human-headed camel-tailed bird-footed creature to the left.  This isn't all the city has to offer.  There are palaces galore, including the famous one on the dried up (or nearly dried up) lake, once owned by the king of the world's oldest royal line.  He still lives in town, in another palace which is also a hotel. 
"Octopussy" shows on the roof of every hotel nightly.  You can turn around and look at whichever palace 007 is in while watching the movie, which we did.
