Two sacred groves. The one that looks like a field is actually a pond with floating vegetation that you can walk on (take your shoes off first, it's sacred). Once a Buddhist stupa was next to it, then Hindus inhereted its sacredness and stuck to the rules: no fishing or laundry, only bathing. Deb found a rare zoo plankton here and other stuff.
The other features a lot of votives, no images of the deities are found at the groves. Rare tree here.
Dr. Deb's website is www.cintdis.org and his life's work is massive. Sacred groves, a rice seedbank, a farm, and he's one of the world's only "degrowth economists," a radical theory against development and in favor of sustainable living. Our experience there was incredible, to say the least. Arati learned how to ride a bike!

Really interesting info. Will go to the website. Congrats to Arati.
Listened to Dr. Deb. Hope he is listened to by others more important than I.
